About time......?
So I just got complained to that I hadn't updated since September.....sorta.
Well Lets see If I can't give you an update on my life. I am still in instruction class. Our class has grown some since it started but we have also lost 3, Judi went back to the way she was, Josue' went back to live with his Family in the City, And Gabriel's family moved back to Quiche. Pedro, a neighbor boy, accepted the Lord a few weeks ago and so will be joining the class! :-) Please pray for us as we grow and learn! Esp. pray for Dunia, She has a sad family life and has just started wearing a veiling! :-) Also there was a re-commitment made. Judi's sister, Blanca, had a downfall but is now struggling to her feet again. Please pray for her!!!
I have been part time training to be a housemother because the Bosses wife is planning to go down on bed-rest within the next month or two, and if everything goes well, the next little squirt will be joining us next spring sometime. (sorry I have to be a little misty on some points....) Not exactly what my dream job is, but.....I need to learn to be happy with whatever God throws at me.
Little Oscar is growing up fast. I have learned that if he asks me a question about how to do something I can no longer respond with "Very Carefully", It has to be a really answer and if I don't know....Well, He just can't grasp that. He is also learning he Letters and Numbers. Much to his annoyance he usually has to study before he gets read to.
Nena is growing fast as well. I have never seen a tomboy be so ladylike! She is one amazing kid! Very meticulous when she colors and draws...everything has to be INSIDE the lines! She has taught Sprigs to ware shoes most of the day and change sets about 3 per hour. Sprigs, however, (besides the shoes) has her own ideas of how things should be done. Purple crayon ALL over the floor and purple highlights in hair, baby's are for cuddling while sucking thumbs, and if I see an ant I WILL freak out!!!
Vacation Bible School was last week. Kendra and Trisia were in charge of Craft room #2 and Pricilla and I were in charge of Craft room #1. It was a PILE of work but fun at the same time. I got so worn out that by thursday night I was running a fever and was sore and COLD all over. (of course that had to be the night that the teachers went out for supper and played volly-ball afterwards...oh well.) But by Friday after the last class I started to feel better. ....yeah, after it was all over, right?
Rainy season continues to be wet. though at least the drain in the wash house drains again. (it had gotten clogged up with mud and trash. YECK!) And yes, believe it or not, it does get cold here in Dec/Jan. If I can sit in church and see my breath.... well, you get my point...
I am looking forward to Decembers running around. Kendra and I are planning to go to the city for workers meeting right before Christmas. Also the Boss is planning to take the family camping sometime in the near future but with our schedule being as adjustable as we keep it I'm trying not to bank on it too hard. :P
House construction is coming along slowly but surly. When the new house is done I'm gonna miss being able to go camping out there.
...Oh, You want to here about camping on the hill? It's a blast. We've done it twice now. The first time was a few months ago. KL, Trisia, and myself went out. I was in charge of getting it together. We held a youth supper out there Saturday evening and us girls just stayed there when everybody else left. We got to bed in fairly good time,(surprising,I know.) And got up in good time,(another miracle, eh?) Had pancakes for breakfast, (I tried to do that but ended up burning the palm of my hand so 'Chief-Chef-KendraLily-Squaw' took over. The last one turned out PERFECTLY but by that time everybody was full. I consumed EIGHT of them!!!!) Set up a make-shift shower room and each had a (cold) shower from the rotoplas water tank, got dressed and combed and had the tent and everything packed up and ready to go by the time the Boss came. We went straight from the hill to Church and if we wouldnt've had the camping gear in the back of the pick-up nobody would've guessed that we hadn't been at home in our own snug comfort zones. :-) The 2nd adventure was with one more girl, a friend of Trisia's (Amy) came down for a visit so we took her out on a Thursday afternoon. Trisia got to run a weed-eater for the first time in her life, clearing a spot for the fire, tent and other necessary areas. ;) Kendra and I were in charge of supper. We had Mountain Pie's, Coka-cola, chips, chocolate.....and other necessary junk food. Also, Amy had brought Mountain Dew down for Trisia so she brought that to the camp out. :-) (I miss Mountain Dew!) Kendra had borrowed 'I want to go home' by Gordon Korman from Stephen so we read that to all hours of the night and morning. (And we got up 'early' the next day to finish it.) We sang some of the old faithful campfire songs and read some more, and while all that was going on......it started to rain! So we piled everything under shelter and retreated to the tent. We finally settled down for the night and turned of all of the flashlights that hadn't died and everybody went to sleep....everybody, except me. I was on the side of the tent where the wind was from so the rain was hitting MY side of the tent. Every time I touched the wall of the tent the water would seep through. after a while I figured that I would probably stay drier if I went outside. I got up and went out, saw the fire was drowning so I went down to the construction site to find something to sheald it from the rain. I found the perfect piece of plywood...or not. I was caked in cement and a bit waterlogged to boot. My dear friends, NEVER attemt to carry a 50lb. , 3x3" piece of plywood up a steep, muddy hill in the rain all by yourself...ESP. not in the dark without a descent flashlight! I finally did get it up there though and propped it up over the fire and was somewhat successful in shielding the fire from the rain. It rained all night and into the morning. We got up around 7 the next morning and made a feeble attempt at frying eggs and ham-roll for breckers and finally got it somewhat cooked enough to eat, and retreated again to the shelter of the tent, finished reading the book and played some games. Later the boss called to say that they were eating waffles...Yeah, call us NOW why don't you? It stopped raining around 11-ish so we packed up everything except the tent (it was WET!) and headed back into civilized country. Well, I think I've given you everything I can think of for the moment and, just so it doesn't come a a shock to you, I'll tell you that you probably won't be reading any new blogpost for another 3 months or so....not like it would surprise you but still...better safe than sorry, eh? (GOOD GREIF! I even sound Canadian in my blogpost! YIKES! What is going wrong with me...?)
Anyway, Till next year, folks! Luv and hugs! ~Tiana~
P.S. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come visit! If you do We'll take you camping on the hill!!!! :-)

Sand and wire-wheels, Paint and chopper parts (The three ‘Charlie’s’)
The New Holland chopper that has been sitting here for a
while and getting worked on it when ever
the Boss has time finally found a buyer. So now it has become one of the main
projects around here; trying to get everything cleaned up, painted and put back
together.
Since the Boss has a lot of work to do out at the hill, he sets me up here at the house to clean
parts, paint, or…..mow lawn. :-P
I like working outside with chopper parts and stuff like
that. (Esp. since it means that I can get out of housework and anybody that
knows me knows how much I loathe housework! JK)
(If I get dirty enough, I can even get out of changing laundry! heh heh)
So what does ‘cleaning chopper parts’ actually mean?
Well, normally it means that I ask the Boss what he needs
done, get the sandblaster out, hook things up and go to it… until it starts to
rain, in which case I QUICK unhook things, cover up the sand, and haul the
blaster and the clean parts back under the roof before the flood comes.
Sometimes I run out of sand. If that happens I either wait for more or …. Get out the trusty wire-wheel.
I have learned several things about wire-wheels in the last
few days. One is that you can get things
cleaner with the sandblaster than with the wire-wheel. Two: If you use a
wire-wheel long enough, you find out you have a lot more muscles in your hand
than you thought you did. And among the
many other things I learned, #3 and #4, which are: ‘cleaning parts with a wire-wheel is a ONE
PERSON JOB.’ And ‘If you have any
“extra” skin cells on your fingers, a wire-wheel will gladly take a few off of
the nearest poor, unsuspecting fingertip or knuckle.’
In the past 2 days I have discovered 3 things I want to call
‘Charlie’.
#1 Charlie: Sue Elen, because she can do some pretty
amazing Charlie Chaplin acts when she’s trying to get out of a job.
#2 Charlie: One of the new kitties that only has one eye
opened so it’s a ‘one-eyed-charlie’.
#3 Charlie: My trusty wire-wheel, because “Charlie bit my
finger!.....AND IT’S STILL HURTING!”
P.S.
One day, after I was done working outside for the day, the Bosses wife needed to go into town to get some things. She took the little people with her and since Josue was at the clinic waiting to come home with Kendra and Prisila, and the Boss was still out at the hill, I was left all to myself....I was cleaning up the kitchen when I came across a bread bag that had what felt like a credit card in the bottom....It was a piece of plastic about the size of a credit card but it was a plastic puzzle. Here are my results:
Thank you Bimbo! I needed something to make me feel intelligent today! :D

Back in the saddle again...
Hey! So it's been a while. Last time I sat down to write I was in the states and had just come home from target practicing with my family. :-) But what has been happening since then? ...A better question would be 'what HASN'T been happening?'
Well here is my attempt to catch you up on my life since my trip home.
Rainy season finally started and we are now enjoying actual showers and being able to wash dishes again. :-) ...Not to mention the occasional flooding of the house.
The girls have started school again with a vengeance (on our way back home, waiting in the airport, Kendra was already working on homework!)
It looks like Bobbie got tiered of all the studying, too!
When we flew home the boss came to the airport to pick us up in his new 2007 Mazda pick-up.
The comment when he drove up next to us was "Forget the brother...LOOK AT THE PICK-UP!"
As of two weeks ago, my cousins Connie and Rachel came to visit us....FUN!!! :-P
We got to go with the clinic staff out to the Mopan waterfalls. :-)

Thats all for now folks..... 'till next time!

HOME AGAIN HOME AGAIN!
So...it's been a while, hasn't it? A lot has been happening in my life. Lately it's been adjusting/maturing, making lists of things that need to be done, gotten, packed, Calling and making connections, deciding what we want to do while we're home, making a schedule (which never actually got done LOL), Packing wildly (I didn't find out when we were leaving until 12 hours before we left). We( Kendra and I) flew out of Poptun airport Thursday the 13th. from there we went to our old stomping grounds in El Novillero. Spent the weekend out there and went back to the city Saturday night. Flew out of Guatemala City at 7-ish Sunday Morning. Got into CWA at about 10:30 that night.
The trip here has been good so far. On Monday I painted and we went to Kathy's Wedding shower.
Today we went target practicing :-)
Kenj thought that since she hardly ever go the chance to wear her Camo stuff that she needed to deck herself out for target practicing.. "so the target doesn't know she's trying to put a hole in it, I guess"
Me laughing at Kaity-Rose flipping out because she didn't know how to get on the other side of the electric fence.
Going out to see if I actually managed to hit the thing.....I did, but it was in the very edge of the upper left corner.
I was teaching Lavina how to take a picture against the sun so that it would turn out looking kinda cool...this one didn't turn out quite right because it is a self shot. (...not actually 'shot'....but you get my point)
