Today.

Today. What does the word mean? Wiki says:
  • Present, the time that is perceived directly, often called now
What do we do with it?  We all have to decide. It's a daily choice.  Are we going to sleep in or get to work  on time? Are we going to eat a banana with our cereal or skip breakfast altogether?  What about lunch?
Are we going to put more time on the phone or buy chewing gum?

Our 'Todays' are filled with choices.   Today a year ago, what did I do? Was it of any importance?  Did it affect what I'm doing right now?

Once we use today it will fall away from us and become part of the past.
I have a friend that chose to use some of his 'todays' wrongly, today he is in a lot of pain.
I have another friend who chose to use some of his 'todays' to study nursing. Because of that, Today, he has a  beautiful family.

But not only do the choices we make affect ourselves, they affect others as well.

Because J.R.R. Tolkien took some of his 'todays' to become a writer, billions of the human population have enjoyed 'The Lord of the Rings'.

Because Dr. James Naismith used some of his 'todays' to think of a good indoor sport, today we have the NBA.

So, today, take a minute and ask yourself  "Am I choosing to use the 'Todays' that God has given me in a way that will positively affect my life in the future, or the lives of others?"

Today, we have to choose....

What I have chosen today....does it affect you?
Something to think about.
