If you haven't read the first part of this story you might want to scroll down and do so.....just sayin'.
Wednesday, 17th.
Today was rather uneventful. I spent the day with my Aunt. She helped me make my first EVER angel-food cake...even if it was just a mix out of a box. :-P
Thursday was great fun. I got up at 4:30 A.M. to help my cousin, Connie, milk cows. After we were done with chores we went inside and got ready to go hunting. Since it was bow season I only went along for the trip/walk for 2 reasons:
1.I have never shot a bow in my life
2.The bow I would've use I couldn't pull anyway.
So I just went along to catch a few winks while we were sitting there. :-)
WOW! Hunting for the first time EVER! ....Didn't see a single thing....besides a few squirrels and a chipmunk that we scared half to death.....OMW! THAT WAS SO FUNNY!!!! Poor little thing! :-D hahahaha!
The next day was Friday. Granddads and I left for Ohio for a funeral. We met up with my Sister, Brother-in-law(or outlaw, witch ever way you want to say it), and another lady at Waffle House. (1st time I'd ever bee to one! :-P ) So we added 2 more to the group that was going to OH, Sana (my sis) and Sharon (a lady from MD)
It was fun hanging out with my sister again. Digging up old jokes and making new ones. (Flinderations and Bubbles all the way) :-P
The trip to Ohio was uneventful, but by the time we got back on Saturday I was
SO ready to be out of the van!
Sunday I went to church here at Bethesda where 95% of the people are related to me and each-other :-D
For lunch my Aunt Karen, Uncle Arnie and cousin Darla, invited Granddad's, me and 2 of my other cousins of a picnic up in 'Wolf Gap'. It was
C-O-L-D COLD!!!! Later we went to Woodstock Tower and did a bit of hiking. We also got to watch some hang-gliders take off and fly around a bit. :-)
Monday, 22nd.
Mowed lawn most of the afternoon and still not done. Also, helped Connie chore. Then we sat in the basement at Uncle Archie's and watched 'The Brotherhood of The Bone Collectors' :-) (Nick Mundt is my fave. But Micheal's eyes are really cool and Travis (T-Bone) Turner is Hilarious!!!!
I guess I'll be going to Farmville on Wednesday. Since Connie and Josh are taking flight instructions, their instructor, Steve, said that he and Connie could fly me down. :-) YAY!!!
Wednesday, 24th.
The flight down to Farmville went GREAT! It was pritty much windstill so it was smooth sailing, tho. Connie said it was rougher going back.
Yolanda and Debi were at the airport to pick me up when we flew in so we left right away to go see Carmie. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-.......
OH MY WORD! It was so AWESOME to be back with my gals!!! Even though it wasn't complete this was the most the gang had been together in TWO YEARS!!!!
We hung out at Carmie's for a while then we went out for lunch. Then we did a bit of shopping. We decided that, as a gag gift from Thegang, that we'd get her a pack of baby diapers. Also some cheese cake and a ring to go on top. "OOO! Shiney!!" (sorry, outsiders...inside joke going on.) haha)
We got to bed at a fairly descent hour 11-ish.
Thursday we went over to Carmie's and wrapped spoons, knives and forks for the reception. That afternoon, Yolanda, Debi, and I went up to Faith Mission Home' to visit a friend of theirs. She showed us around a bit before supper. When we were done with supper some of the (funnest) people (lol) got together to play some volly-ball!!! IT WAS
SO MUCH FUN!!!!! (if you want to hear the story about that, you'll have to ask :-P )
Friday, we went over to Carmie's again. This time we were doing 'cake-pops'. Cake-pops are balls of cake on sticks that are to be dipped into melted chocolate and the are a PAIN to make!!!!
Friday evening was rehearsals and since Debi was in the bridal party she had to go to that.
So Yo-yo (Yolanda) and I went to where we were staying, got changed then we went back to clean up our cake-pop mess while rehearsals were going on.
When rehearsals were done we went to help set up for the reception. We actually didn't get started until 10-ish and didn't get out of there until 1-ish the next morning!!!
Wow! Saturday morning. The
DAY of the
WEDDING! Debi had to be out of bedready and in time for bridal party pictures. She had so
mebody do her hair in a really cute little up-do.... unfortunately I didn't get any pics of it. :-(
Yo-yo and I hung out, wrapped gifts, (we took the pack of diapers and wrote on all 50 of them!!) and got ready to go so we'd be able to jump in the car when Debi got there.
It was a good thing we were ready because when she got there she was in a flying hurry! (she had to get back for more pics)
If you want to hear about the wedding you can ask but I'm not saying I'll tell you much....lol
Supper (the reception) was great, but since Yo-yo and I were servers we had to wait until everyone had gone through the line before we could eat. But it was worth the wait....TACO SALAD!!! (aka=Haystacks)
We sat with some friends from back home in WI. (it was so COOL to see them again!!)
Also we got to meet some other people for the 1st time that we'd been friends with for a while already. (Oscar, Diaz, Blonie, Teddy-bear....among others)
After everything was cleaned up we went and got changed for v-ball. Good grief! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE V-BALL!!!! Needless to say we got 'home' fairly early....around 1-ish. ;-)
Sunday I got a ride with a family from Farmville that were going up to Charlottsville for church. I met my cousins there and they brought me up to Harrisonburg.
I spent Sunday evening with my Uncle Arnie's. They taught me how to play 'Aquire'. It's really fun!
Look for more later...... TKM
