Took a nap....AFTER church. lol
In the evening Uncle Jonny's had a birthday party for Trevon.
Tristan thoroughly whipped me at ping-pong. We also got Tristan's guitar out and were playing with that.
All in all it was a fun evening. :-)

Tuesday the 6th.  7:40 A.M.

DEREK IS COMING HOME TODAY! YAY!  I've never bee this exited this early in the morning before!

8:30 A.M.

I just saw his truck ripping up the drive way! EEEPPP!  I'm so exited!!!
Today granddad and Grandma are spending the day away; Granddad has a meeting to go to  so Grandma is  going to spend the day with Aunt (great aunt for me) Maidie.

Also Holly's parent's, James and Cheryl Long, are coming today.  :-)

I think this day will turn out nicely!

Later....

Connie and me went hunting while the boys did chores. (even though Derek said he forgot how. LOL)  We saw a button buck. :-)

Looked at pics with Derek for most of the day. Ah! It is GOOD to have him home again!

Wednesday the 7th

Today Connie and I packed. :-Z   I hate packing!  Trying to get everything stuffed in and figuring out what HAS to go in order to figure out what 'can' be left behind.

This evening Connie and I chores while Josh went hunting.  (Not sure where Derek was)

Thursday the 8th

Connie, Aunt Lois, and I went to to town. (Walking backwards, upside-down. :-D hehehe) (only people from home will get that one, I think.)   Then we went to Pap's. (Lois's Father's) And while Aunt Lois took him to town (NOT upside-down, FWI :-P )  Connie and I killed time before her eye doc appointment by going over to June's
Then I stayed there, and she picked me up after she was done at the eye doc's.

That evening we (me and connie) went hunting. We didn't see anything. (except SHE saw some squirrels) :-Z

Friday the 9th    9:00 A.M.Today I need to was upstairs windows. Yay, right? lol

9:04 P.M.  Still Friday the 9th

Well, didn't wash windows.  I wen over to Connie's and hung out there for a while.  After lunch  I watched ( would say 'helped' but she did most of it) Connie clean up.
Bethany Pence came over this evening for a while.  Connie showed us her Graduation gifts. Then we had some coffee and cake before they went to look at pics.  (I'd seen them before so I stayed and listened to the boys talk/fight lol)

Saturday the 10th

Didn't get windows washed today either. :-P

Connie and Aunt Lois weren't feeling well, so we didn't so much. We did get lunch ready for Sunday cause Aunt Lois was Hostess.

Sunday the 11th
Went to church. Nathan Good preached.  We went to Uncle Archie's for lunch and the evening. (It was really fun to hang out with Emily, Angela, and Curtis.     Curtis let me play with his phone for about an hour! :-) )  (Curtis, have I ever told you that I'm glad to be your cousin? :-) well don't get used to it! lol)

Then  I was felling kinda sick so Aunt Lois took my temp. Yep, you heard me, she grabed it and rann off with it.  she wouldn't give it back for the longest time either!  JK  anyway, I was about 99. (Josh had a fit that I took TWO Ibuprofen! :-P )

That evening was song service, so Josh was pick out the songs he was gonna lead.   I can't remember who said what, but Josh was sputtering about something, when he was finished he looked from his songbook to his pitch-pipe and declared  "F!"   Curtis and I just MELTED!!!   :-D

Monday the 12th.

I spent last night with June.  Then I came to school with her so Josh could take me home this afternoon.  (We got up at 6 this A.M. so that we could goof around on the PC!  6:00 A.M.!!!!! It's no wonder my day turned out so rotten. JK )

"Until next time this is Bill Collins saying: 'So long!'"   :)

Trip 2012---Part 3

Monday the 29th.
I got up this morning at 7:30 and was down stairs by 8.   (good for me, eh?)

We were done with breakfast and dishes by 8:30.....Then I laid down on the couch and slept until 11. LOL!

Oh yeah, BTW, The east coast is having a hurricane so it's been raining since about 6 last evening.  We're supposed to get about 6 in. of rain out of the whole deal.

Tuesday the 30th.

Hurricane Sandy has so far killed 16 people in the NY area, has put over 9 million homes out of power and has closed all public schools in the Shenandoah Valley.   I think we had the worst we're gonna get (here at least) last night.

The 31st.   Halloween night
Bethesda had a pizza supper at the Berea School.  Then most of us played v-ball.   It was really fun just to goof off 'cuz nobody was really good at it.  :-D

My cousin, Curtis, said he went hunting up in the mountains but before he got to the cabin he had to put his truck into 4w drive because of all the snow.

Since Connie and I had trimmed Grandma's bushes yesterday  I saved some of the prettiest roses off and made some bouquets. :-)

Friday, 2nd of  November

Today Josh brought me to school.  I'm gonna spend the rest of the day with my cousin June. :-)
I think this weekend will be filled with jokes and laughing over '1D' :-D

Later....
I'm sitting in school listening to people talk about a local wreck. The driver had apparently just died; the passenger had died at the scene 14-ish hours earlier.  It almost makes my wanna cry,  just to hear about it..  Knowing that one or more of us could have been killed in my wreck. I am EXTREMELY thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was. I thank God for protecting us every time I hear about a wreck!

Later, later...

Listening to 2 guys complain about the refreshments at a party or something:  "Tea, Bars and chips.  Thats ALWAYS what they have. Every time, tea, bars and chips. So pathetic!"     *Snicker*!!!

Still Friday

June and I went over to Shawn and Mary-Beth Hogan's for supper.  It was really nice to see them again! I was disappointed that their eldest, Wanona , wasn't there, but it was nice to see and get to know the rest of them!
It was fun to talk guns, tractors/machinery, and music with Robert and Patrick.  When we were getting ready to leave Patrick ran up to his room and got a book of 'John Deere' tractors and gave it to me.  He said: "It's not often I find a GIRL who likes tractors as much as me!" :-)

Ok I'm caught up till today.

Today is Saturday the 3rd

I helped June and Darla clean house and   "...Typed on your blog a LOT."  as June so nicely put it. :-P

Anyway, I guess that's all for a while.    TTYL  ~TKM

Trip 2012---Part 2

If you haven't read the first part of this story you might want to scroll down and do so.....just sayin'.

Wednesday, 17th.

Today was rather uneventful.  I spent the day with my Aunt.  She helped me make my first EVER angel-food cake...even if it was just a mix out of a box.  :-P

Thursday was great fun.  I got up at 4:30 A.M. to help my cousin, Connie, milk cows.  After we were done with chores we went inside and got ready to go hunting.  Since it was bow season I only went along for the trip/walk for 2 reasons:
1.I have never shot a bow in my life
2.The bow I would've use I couldn't pull anyway.
So I just went along to catch a few winks while we were sitting there.  :-)

WOW!  Hunting for the first time EVER!   ....Didn't see a single thing....besides a few squirrels and a chipmunk that we scared half to death.....OMW! THAT WAS SO FUNNY!!!!   Poor little thing! :-D hahahaha!

The next day was Friday.  Granddads and I left for Ohio for a funeral.  We met up with my Sister, Brother-in-law(or outlaw, witch ever way you want to say it), and another lady at Waffle House. (1st time I'd ever bee to one! :-P )   So we added 2 more to the group that was going to OH,  Sana (my sis) and Sharon (a lady from MD)

It was fun hanging out with my sister again. Digging up old jokes and making new ones.   (Flinderations and Bubbles all the way)  :-P

The trip to Ohio was uneventful, but by the time we got back on Saturday   I was SO  ready to be out of the van!

Sunday I went to church here at Bethesda where 95% of the people are related to me and each-other  :-D

For lunch my Aunt Karen, Uncle Arnie and cousin Darla, invited Granddad's, me and 2 of my other cousins of a picnic up in 'Wolf Gap'.  It was C-O-L-D  COLD!!!!   Later  we went to Woodstock Tower and did a bit of hiking.  We also got to watch some hang-gliders take off and fly around a bit. :-)

Monday, 22nd.

Mowed lawn most of the afternoon and still not done.   Also, helped Connie chore.  Then we sat in the basement at Uncle Archie's and watched 'The Brotherhood of The Bone Collectors' :-)  (Nick Mundt is my fave.  But Micheal's eyes are really cool and Travis (T-Bone) Turner is Hilarious!!!!

I guess I'll be going to Farmville on Wednesday.   Since Connie and Josh are taking flight instructions, their instructor, Steve, said that he and Connie could fly me down. :-) YAY!!!

Wednesday, 24th.

The flight down to Farmville went GREAT!  It was pritty much windstill  so it was smooth sailing, tho. Connie said it was rougher going back.

Yolanda and Debi were at the airport to pick me up when we flew in so we left right away to go see Carmie.  :-) :-) :-) :-) :-.......
OH MY WORD! It was so AWESOME to be back with my gals!!!  Even though it wasn't complete this was the most the gang had been together in TWO YEARS!!!!

We hung out at Carmie's  for a while then we went out for lunch.  Then we did a bit of shopping.  We decided that, as a gag gift from Thegang, that we'd get her a pack of baby diapers.  Also some cheese cake and a ring to go on top. "OOO! Shiney!!"  (sorry, outsiders...inside joke going on.)  haha)

We got to bed at a fairly descent hour  11-ish.

Thursday we went over to Carmie's and wrapped spoons, knives and forks for the reception.    That afternoon, Yolanda, Debi, and I went up to Faith Mission Home' to visit a friend of theirs.  She showed us around a bit before supper.  When we were done with supper  some of the (funnest) people (lol) got together to play some volly-ball!!!  IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!   (if you want to hear the story about that, you'll have to ask :-P )

Friday, we went over to Carmie's again.  This time we were doing 'cake-pops'.  Cake-pops are balls of cake on sticks that are to be dipped into melted chocolate and the are a PAIN to make!!!!
Friday evening was rehearsals and since Debi was in the bridal party she had to go to that.
So Yo-yo (Yolanda) and I went to where we were staying, got changed then we went back to clean up our cake-pop mess while rehearsals were going on.

When rehearsals were done we went to help set up for the reception. We actually didn't get started until 10-ish and didn't get out of there until 1-ish the next morning!!!

Wow! Saturday morning.  The DAY of the WEDDING!   Debi had to be out of bedready and in time for bridal party pictures. She had somebody do her hair in a really cute little up-do.... unfortunately I didn't get any pics of it. :-(

Yo-yo and I hung out, wrapped gifts, (we took the pack of diapers and wrote on all 50 of them!!)  and got ready to go so we'd be able to jump in the car when Debi got there.

It was a good thing we were ready because when she got there she was in a flying hurry! (she had to get back for more pics)

If you want to hear about the wedding you can ask but I'm not saying I'll tell you much....lol

Supper (the reception) was great, but since Yo-yo and I were servers we had to wait until everyone had gone through the line before we could eat.  But it was worth the wait....TACO SALAD!!! (aka=Haystacks)
We sat with some friends from back home in WI.  (it was so COOL to see them again!!)
Also we got to meet some other people for the 1st time that we'd been friends with for a while already.  (Oscar, Diaz, Blonie, Teddy-bear....among others)

After everything was cleaned up we went and got changed for v-ball.   Good grief!  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE V-BALL!!!!  Needless to say we got 'home' fairly early....around 1-ish. ;-)

Sunday I got a ride with a family from Farmville that were going up to Charlottsville  for church.  I met my cousins there and they brought me up to Harrisonburg.

I spent Sunday evening with my Uncle Arnie's.  They taught me how to play 'Aquire'.  It's really fun!

     Look for more later......    TKM

Trip 2012---Part 1

Trip to Guatemala
(this is gonna be kinda lengthy so get some chips and a drink and a comfy chair...)

October 16th 2012  Tuesday. About 4:30 A.M.

Yesterday was spent packing madly, trying to figure out what I was taking, then trying to get everything into the back-packs. I would be taking one with me to VA, and the other one would be coming out with some friends of mine who were driving out at a later date.

At 2:00 this morning my alarms (plural) rang...I promptly shut them off and went to sleep again.
At 3:00, Dad came and made me get out of bed.  So about 3 hours, a cup of coffee, and a bottle of orange juice later we were at the MSP airport.....and I needed to USE IT!!!

I unfortunately had no time for the simple pleasures of life and rushed...or tried to rush, through security.  When I got through to the 'inside', I had to run to get to my gate in time. when I got to the gate they were already boarding.   Since all I had was a back-pack and a purse (both packed beyond average copasity) I was able to cut line and walk right in.  :-)    The isle was relatively packed and it took a bit before I was able to get to my seat.    My back-pack, of course, was to big to fit under the seat and all the over heads were full so I just put it on the floor in front of me and put my feet on it.

After everyone had their seats and they'd shut the door, the blasted over the intercom saying that all electronics had to be completely off.

Then we taxied, and taxied and....well, it seemed like the pilot had lost his way or something.  When he finally got himself straightened out and found the runway, we had taxied for over 10 min.   THEN they announced, rather loudly, that they had taken on to much fuel, so we had to sit there at the end of the runway to 'burn off the extra fuel'.

"Huray, hurray! I'm on my way! My 'summer' vacation starts today!"     I'm up in the air drinking coke, chewing gum and laughing at my horrible handwriting.

6:00 A.M.

OOPS! COKE.....BAD IDEA!  I needed something though...I was feeling a bit sick.   But you know me, I would rather wait for 3 hours than use an airplane bathroom.  And they don't call them bathrooms either!  'Lavoratory'.   They make it sound like some Scientific research facility.   Who would wanna pee in one of those anyway???   Yeah, you tell me and we'll both know.

6:45---to the best of my knowledge

I broke down. I used the 'Lavoratory'.  What can I say? I needed to GO! BAD!

I had a layover in Philadelphia.   Thankfully it wan't a very short  one, I had time to walk around a bit and use a REAL, clean...ish bathroom.

On the flight from Phili to Baltimore I flew in one of the oldest airplanes that American Airlines owns and still operates.   I sat next to an English Gentleman near the back of the plane.   I found it quite interesting that when we started talking, I would catch myself using and English accent. :-)
Oh yea, By the way, from where I was sitting I could see a warning label on the landing gear compartment.  It said "WARNING!  Hydraulics may operate...."     Hmm.....it kinda makes ya wonder, don't it?

I got to Baltimore a bit early than they'd thought we would....YAY! (isn't it usually the other way around?...Delayed...?)   Anyway I got my stuff and went inside.

Now this next part is a bit embarrassing for me  but you have to remember that I'd never flown into and airport of this size before.

I came inside and I thought that my Grandparents were going to meet me at the gate.... apparently not.  I waited around 3 hours and had used up all of my quarters trying to call home on those stupid pay-phones...nobody would answer.   GR!!!

Anyway, they finally gave Granddaddy a pass so that he could come and find me.

That is all I'm gonna put for now.  More later.........  TKM
