Trip 2012---Part 3

Monday the 29th.
I got up this morning at 7:30 and was down stairs by 8.   (good for me, eh?)

We were done with breakfast and dishes by 8:30.....Then I laid down on the couch and slept until 11. LOL!

Oh yeah, BTW, The east coast is having a hurricane so it's been raining since about 6 last evening.  We're supposed to get about 6 in. of rain out of the whole deal.

Tuesday the 30th.

Hurricane Sandy has so far killed 16 people in the NY area, has put over 9 million homes out of power and has closed all public schools in the Shenandoah Valley.   I think we had the worst we're gonna get (here at least) last night.

The 31st.   Halloween night
Bethesda had a pizza supper at the Berea School.  Then most of us played v-ball.   It was really fun just to goof off 'cuz nobody was really good at it.  :-D

My cousin, Curtis, said he went hunting up in the mountains but before he got to the cabin he had to put his truck into 4w drive because of all the snow.

Since Connie and I had trimmed Grandma's bushes yesterday  I saved some of the prettiest roses off and made some bouquets. :-)

Friday, 2nd of  November

Today Josh brought me to school.  I'm gonna spend the rest of the day with my cousin June. :-)
I think this weekend will be filled with jokes and laughing over '1D' :-D

Later....
I'm sitting in school listening to people talk about a local wreck. The driver had apparently just died; the passenger had died at the scene 14-ish hours earlier.  It almost makes my wanna cry,  just to hear about it..  Knowing that one or more of us could have been killed in my wreck. I am EXTREMELY thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was. I thank God for protecting us every time I hear about a wreck!

Later, later...

Listening to 2 guys complain about the refreshments at a party or something:  "Tea, Bars and chips.  Thats ALWAYS what they have. Every time, tea, bars and chips. So pathetic!"     *Snicker*!!!

Still Friday

June and I went over to Shawn and Mary-Beth Hogan's for supper.  It was really nice to see them again! I was disappointed that their eldest, Wanona , wasn't there, but it was nice to see and get to know the rest of them!
It was fun to talk guns, tractors/machinery, and music with Robert and Patrick.  When we were getting ready to leave Patrick ran up to his room and got a book of 'John Deere' tractors and gave it to me.  He said: "It's not often I find a GIRL who likes tractors as much as me!" :-)

Ok I'm caught up till today.

Today is Saturday the 3rd

I helped June and Darla clean house and   "...Typed on your blog a LOT."  as June so nicely put it. :-P

Anyway, I guess that's all for a while.    TTYL  ~TKM
